Astranis builds low-cost satellites for high orbits.

Founded in 2015, we’re coming up on 10 years of pursuing a grand mission: to expand the reach of humanity beyond Low Earth Orbit.

The next big thing in space is small.

We built a new class of small satellites for high orbits. We launched our first satellite in 2023, and we’ll launch 100 by 2030.

Where we are

Astranis headquarters is located within San Francisco’s historic Pier 70. Formerly the headquarters of Union Iron Works and then Bethlehem Steel, the building was used as a production line during WWI and WWII for battleships and submarines. Now, we’re using that factory to build things for space.
