We have a thriving commercial business, and build our satellites to work for commercial and government customers alike.
Fast
We are nimble, and can pursue new opportunities quickly. And once we start a project, it gets done fast — we’ve executed all of our contracts on-time, and under-budget so far.
Committed
Based in San Francisco, we pull the best minds from private sector companies like Google, Meta, Qualcomm, SpaceX, and more. Our workforce is young and hungry, and will work overtime to make an impact for our country.
Proven
We have a satellite on orbit and the production capacity to deliver many satellites at the speed of need. We are ready to deliver real capabilities at low cost.
Our advanced high-orbit satellites are applicable across DoD mission areas.
Proliferated GEO
Legacy GEO MILSATCOM satellites are aging, already fully subscribed, and increasingly vulnerable to rapidly evolving ground and space-based threats. That’s why we’re working with the Space Force to implement the Protected Tactical Waveform using our Software-Defined Radio and small GEO satellites.
Resilient GPS
Only six new GPS satellites have launched in the last seven years — but resilient GPS capabilities are sorely needed. Jamming, spoofing, and kinetic attacks are all possible in an increasingly contested environment, and proliferation of GPS signals using lower-cost, commercially-derived small satellites in MEO is a critical part of the answer.
Maneuverable GEO
We are making GEO stationary no more with our maneuverable, flexible satellites. We have demonstrated maneuverability on orbit for government customers using our onboard propulsion, and stand ready to provide dedicated assets for our government partners.
COMMITTED TO NATIONAL SECURITY
Astranis stands ready to support our warfighters.
"In our business if you are doing things right — if you are building advanced space technology — it is only a matter of time until the US Department of Defense comes knocking on your door asking for your help. You can either say yes, or you can say no. At Astranis we decided to say yes."
